We are seeking exceptional candidates who possess a blend of technical and customerfacing skills to successfully support the Amazon MobileRobotic Systems. This job will require a unique combination of flexibility troubleshooting creativity problemsolving skills drive and ability to travel. As part of this highly visible team candidates have the opportunity to work closely with Amazon fulfillment and transportation customers to contribute to the successful deployment and reliable operations of the MobileRobotic Systems.
A successful candidate will have technical aptitude a passion for hardware broad troubleshooting skills and a desire to work within an elite group at the leading edge of Amazons MobileRobotic systems engineering.
Key job responsibilities
Front line resolution of RME technical inquiries and escalations; the topics of these inquiries and escalations may include but are not limited to: Hardware Failures Degraded Hardware Performance and Safety Critical Issues.
Provide OnSite Support to building deployments (recover disabled drives ensure HW functionality coordinate and deliver RME Trainer Training ensure spares & tools are in place facilitate EAM uploads and setup etc.).
Works with reachback support teams on resolution of complex technical inquiries and escalations.
Proactively monitor system performance and react to field issues using predefined troubleshooting methods to address concerns associated with hardware and floor health and escalate to RME and HSE Leadership when necessary.
Present site hardware status at daily HSE StandUp Meetings using established performance dashboards.
Collect analyze and report field failure data and quality trends to field quality and other reachback support engineers.
Coordinate site audit schedule and preaudit communication. Execute onsite AR audits and prepare audit reports. Work with local teams to develop and track corrective action plans to completion.
Collect data and provide preliminary analysis for biweekly SME sessions with site RME teams (Area Maintenance Managers Lead Techs and other HSEs). Review hardware performance training upcoming retrofits product quality incidents and maintain action register at the sessions.
Collect voice of the customer feedback regarding continuous improvements for AR processes tools and fixtures.
Conduct ARU field training and certification classes for RME.
Conduct field tests and collect field data in support of AR initiatives and projects.
About the team
The Field Hardware Support Engineering (FHSE) team strives to ensure that our customer site Reliability and Maintenance Engineers are self sufficient in maintaining Amazon Robotic technologies. Our team achieves this by identifying deficiencies communicating risk and proposing mitigation strategies. Our handson approach to testing troubleshooting and investigating puts us in the shoes of the operators and technicians in the field. We then work backwards to satisfy the engineering requirements partnering with safety hardware software and other support teams.
BS in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Industrial or related field)
Experience leading disciplined technical problemsolving
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues
Ability to manage multiple highpriority tasks simultaneously
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability and willingness to travel between 3050% of the time to domestic sites within assigned support region.
Masters degree in Engineering and/or MBA
12 years of experience designing and/or supporting robotics systems
Experience with 8D 5Why Fishbone FMEA or comparable root cause analysis methodologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $67200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
