Urgent requirement of Wireless Network Configurations Engineer Contract Perth
Requirements
Switches:
- Configure and deploy LAN network edge switches across mine site (FIFO Site 12hrs per day).
- Implement and coordinate OT (Operational Technology) connectivity to IT Networks.
- Stage the switch configurations transfer to site and mount the switches in comms rack.
- Migrate all network cables from old to new switches.
- Decommission old switches and move them to their destination locations.
- Excellent handson experience with Cisco and Huawei Network switches.
- Strong knowledge of switching protocols Spanningtree VBST Vlans VTP and Stack switches build.
- Experience in Cisco ISE TACACS Cisco DNAC and Solarwinds.
- Knowledge of SFP types Fiber optics and cabling techniques in Mining site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising during or after the migration.
- Document network changes configurations and diagrams.
- Coordinate with vendors to address any hardware or software issues with switches.
- Cisco CCNP Routing/Switching/Wireless certifications are strongly preferred.
Wireless:
- Handson experience in Cisco Wireless Network Configurations and deployment.
- Strong knowledge of wireless technologies (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) RF fundamentals and spectrum analysis
- Conduct site surveys (predictive and physical) to assess current wireless coverage and performance.
- Configure and deploy wireless access points across the mining site.
- Decommission existing wireless access points and move them to their destination locations.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams migration plans and postmigration reports.
- Monitor and troubleshoot wireless network performance during and after migration.
General requirements:
- Ability to pass a preemployment medical and drug/alcohol screening
- Valid Australian drivers license with working rights in Australia.
- Experience with ITIL or other service management frameworks.
- Strong compliance with site safety policies and cybersecurity standards.
- Cisco CCNP Routing/Switching/Wireless certifications are strongly preferred.
