You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Kinship Care First Supports Program supports children in statutory kinship care placements where Child Protection are involved and the placement is expected to last more than 3 months. The program aims to identify kinship networks early strengthen family reunification where possible promote placement stability and prevent children from being placed in residential care unnecessarily.
As a First Supports Case Worker you will undertake comprehensive assessments and provide recommendations to Child Protection about the suitability of kinship care placements. The First Supports Case Worker will consider risk factors strengths and weaknesses of the placement and identify the childs individual needs. The role will support children to settle within the placement and support kinship carers to build their capacity to respond to the childs safety stability and developmental needs.
