DescriptionAs a Valve Technician your role is to ensure that the performance and availability of Control Valve is available to site at all time and to execute all activities safely and efficiently to agreed work plans safety management system requirements and best working practices
ResponsibilitiesExperience (Essential)
- Extensive knowledge of working on Control Valves & associated ancillaries
- Knowledge of electronic and pneumatic transmitters and positioners
- Knowledge of Control Valve components and standards
Prime responsibilities and duties
- Carry out planned maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system.
- Assisting with the coordination of spare part requirements and optimising of spares stock levels
- Carrying out unplanned maintenance as required
- Minimising downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets
- Preparing technical reports
- Fault finding and rectification for rotating equipment
- Carry out emergency response duties as required by the Client
QualificationsQualifications/Training
- Recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training scheme
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 certification in Mechanical Fitting/Mechanical Engineering
- PAss a Wood Skills Screening
- Pass a Site Based Preemployment Medical
- TMJI10
- CCSNG Safety Passport

- Good IT skills building on existing proficiency and developing competence in the Companys and/or Clients CMMS
- Must always work in the best interest of Wood and comply with the requirements of the Companys and/or the Clients Safety Management System (SMS)
