You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Buyer is responsible for purchasing activities for assigned portfolio to ensure a high level of customer service.The role will interface daily with suppliers in ensuring that we have procured the right amount of finished goods or materials from the supplier and will mitigate and adjust requirements based on weekly planning reviews from supply planning. The role will work alongsidesupplyplannersproduction scheduling andsourcing managersin the organization. The role has no direct people responsibility.
What you will do:
Maintainmaster data set up in the transactionalsystems includingsupplier leadtime supplierdetails productdetails and replenishment methodology(MOQS)
Communicateforecast requirements to the supply basefor finished goodsand/or for components and materials.
Ensuring all POs are placed accordingly to the rules as agreed with the Account Lead
Responsible forthe execution and communicationof safety stock levels required forraw materials/finished goodsto the supply base.
Reviewdata from the supplier in terms of accuracy andensure theinformationisaligned withthe supplier agreementandcomplies withthe Stryker system of record.
Actas the first line of contactwithsuppliersand provide informationonadjustmentsto daily or weekly requirements based on the latest supply net requirements.
Work crossfunctionally to support Stryker initiativesandsupport activities to improvebusiness processes
Reportsupplier performance based on standardmetricsprepareandmonitorsupplier scorecards
Communicatephasein/out ofnewfinished goods or raw materials into the organization andensure timing has been agreed andchange isbeing executed to the agreement
Prepareweekly status reportsfor the demand and supply execution processand represent purchasing function atkeymeetings.
Track and manageKPIsincludingontime and in full delivery(OTIF)materiallead time compliancePO compression days PPVpast dueinvoicesand POs
Identify gaps in existing business processes and drive improvement activities to close them
Ensure compliance with applicablequality and regulatory requirements
What you need:
Degree level in Business/Engineering/Supply Chain management
Proficient inwritten and spokenEnglish. Second language may be required depending onsupplier base
Minimum of2yearsexperience in Purchasing Procurement or Manufacturing.
Experience with ERP systemsieSAP Oracle JDE
Excellent knowledge ofMSOfficeapplicationsincludingExcel PowerPoint & Word.
Previous experience in supplier relationship management
