THE POSITION:
We are seeking a highly skilled MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) Equipment Deployment Manager to support the planning coordination and execution of equipment deployment for a large-scale multi-phased data center build. This role requires deep technical knowledge strong project management expertise and proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams to ensure that mission-critical MEP systems are deployed on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Leadership & Coordination
  • Manage the full lifecycle of MEP equipment deployment from design coordination and procurement through installation testing commissioning and handover.
  • Coordinate with design engineers construction managers general contractors and vendors to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of project specifications.
  • Develop and manage deployment schedules aligned with overall campus construction milestones.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all MEP equipment matters during deployment.
Technical Oversight
  • Oversee delivery staging and installation of large-scale mechanical (HVAC chillers CRAH/CRAC units) electrical (switchgear UPS generators) and plumbing systems.
  • Review and approve shop drawings method statements and quality control documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes industry standards and project-specific requirements.
  • Lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) processes.
Risk & Quality Management
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks related to supply chain logistics and on-site deployment.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance/quality control processes.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health safety and environmental standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical or logistical issues during deployment.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Provide regular status updates to senior project leadership on progress risks and issues.
  • Facilitate coordination between design construction and commissioning teams.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships to ensure performance meets expectations.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering Construction Management or related field.
  • 4 years of experience in MEP project management with at least 2 years focused on mission-critical data center environments or comparable large-scale infrastructure.
  • Proven track record managing deployment of complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
THE DETAILS:
  • Location: Denver CO or Sterling VA
  • Travel: Some domestic travel required up to 20%
  • Compensation: $140000 - $165000/year 10% annual bonus potential
