Job Description
As a Business Development Manager you ll lead growth efforts across priority sectors engaging with highprofile institutions and clients. You ll take charge of sales outreach virtual demos client relationshipbuilding and advising on strategy bringing powerful SaaS and advisory solutions to a global audience.

Your Daily Tasks
Target Market Strategy
- Develop and execute tailored sales strategies targeting ESG leads technical teams and decisionmakers
- Focus on development finance institutions infrastructure developers and large organizations aligned with IFC EBRD or World Bank standards
Lead Generation & Nurturing
- Pursue and refine a list of highpriority companies
- Identify and qualify new leads
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships throughout the sales cycle from initial outreach to conversion
Sales Process Management
- Manage outreach workflows and ensure timely followups
- Streamline sales processes to reduce delays in closing deals
- Support the handover process to the Founder or technical team
Product Knowledge & Advisory
- Develop deep knowledge of SaaS tools (e.g. myESRA stakeholder chatbot) and consulting and training services
- Advise on pricing strategy market positioning and highpotential sectors
Market Development
- Support expansion into new verticals and regions
- Focus on markets influenced by sustainabilitylinked finance and ESG regulations and international development frameworks
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients
- Understand client needs and build trust
- Position the company as a strategic partner in stakeholder engagement and E&S risk management
Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Align messaging with the Founder and technical team
- Improve pitch materials based on feedback
- Translate customer insights into product and service enhancements
Virtual Demos & Meetings
- Lead or join online presentations with potential clients
- Demonstrate product value and assess suitability
- Facilitate followups or handoffs for further discussion
Sales Tracking & CRM Management
- Maintain a lead and opportunity tracker using Google Sheets or a basic CRM
- Recommend process improvements to the tracking process for remote business development
Strategy & Insights
- Evaluate outreach strategies for effectiveness
- Suggest creative or datadriven ways to boost lead quality and conversion
Sales Reporting & Forecasting
- Submit weekly reports on sales activity and lead progress
- Analyze sales trends and provide shortterm forecasts to help shape internal priorities and planning
Requirements
The Qualifications We Seek
- Bachelor s degree in Business Marketing or a related field (Master s degree is a plus)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development sales or account management preferably in SaaS tech or B2B sectors
- Experience working with development banks or government agencies (a plus)
Skills:
- Strong understanding of sales processes and ability to manage long sales cycles
- Proven success in targeting technical teams and decisionmakers within large organizations
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt sales strategies across industries and organizational structures
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools
- Selfmotivated strategic thinker with the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities with startup environments and established market competitors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience navigating the complexities of working with development banks and large organizations
