Job Description
Student Worker University Advancement Summer Intern
Number of Openings: 1
Purpose/Objective of the Role:
The Office of University Advancement seeks a summer intern to assist with a variety of projects between May 12 August 15 (start and end dates are flexible). The Advancement Office works with alumni parents and friends of OWU to keep them connected to the University in a variety of ways including through inperson and virtual events career programming giving and more.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- The summer intern will spend time with each department within Advancement to assist with projects and get a broad exposure to our work.
- Potential projects can include light data analysis/manipulation in Excel design work in Canva data integrity review developing marketing and stewardship materials data entry professional writing research and more.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite and Google docs as well as a willingness to learn other programs used by the department
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Diligence and timeliness in completing projects
Potential Future Career Benefit:
- Students will gain practical skill development through handson experience with tools such as Canva Microsoft Excel etc.
- This position is a great way to build ones resume through the wide array of projects that one can demonstrate both technical and soft skills.
NOTE:
