The Opportunity

Become a pivotal leader at Castlecrag Private Hospital driving clinical excellence and innovation. In this essential role you will lead a dedicated team overseeing all clinical and nonclinical operations. Your responsibilities will include enhancing clinical quality optimising patient flow and bed management advancing workforce development expanding service offerings through business growth managing doctor relationships and promoting staff engagement and professional development. Youll also focus on improving cost efficiency while ensuring exceptional experiences for both patients and doctors. What Youll Do

Your daytoday responsibilities will involve but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and ensure compliance with hospital accreditation standards fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance patient safety and maintain highquality clinical outcomes across all services.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory legal and operational standards.
  • Manage and supervise practical aspects of care delivery including bed management patient flow strategies patient demand forecasting and workforce management.
  • Implement systematic workforce planning and support the professional development of the clinical workforce to meet organisational goals.
  • Support growth initiatives business development and respond to needs identified by the Executive team and Ramsay Health Care.
  • Liaise with the visiting medical officer (VMO) community to ensure the delivery of the highest quality clinical care.
  • Plan and maintain hospital and departmental budgets ensuring budgetary requirements are met in collaboration with other executive team members.
  • Assess workplace culture and implement strategies to support findings fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

What Youll Bring

As a proponent of The Ramsay Way People Caring for People you excel at fostering positive working relations with key stakeholders developing people building highperformance teams and successfully leading them through organisational change. Additionally you will:

  • Function as a proficient executive manager with a solid understanding of the private hospital environment and operations. This should be coupled with a commercial mindset and a strong understanding of the current challenges facing private healthcare.
  • Demonstrate sound resource management skills to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of all clinical and nonclinical departments.
  • Possess an understanding of the performance levers driving quality business outcomes and have experience in applying quality improvement processes.
  • Demonstrate a passion for the success and development of people coupled with expert communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Have senior management experience in the private health sector showing success in leading organisational change and quality improvement processes.
  • Exhibit knowledge and understanding of clinical governance and patient safety.
  • Experience or knowledge and expertise in operating theatre management.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Postgraduate clinical qualifications.

Desirable

  • Senior management experience in a private hospital

Castlecrag Private Hospitalwith 37 bed acute surgical/ medical facility with 3 theatres including Orthopaedic Cosmetic Plastic and Reconstructive Ear Throat and Nose and Dental Surgeries. The medical ward accepts general medical and palliative care admissions.
