Job Description

Manager Finance Department 1 FTE Business Services Date Needed: 6/2/2025 12 Month Calendar

GENERAL DUTIES:

Provide general oversight to assigned areas of responsibility. Manage purchasing processes the Districts student body funds and other financial transactions such as accounts receivable banking and best practices in accounting.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lead and promote educational equity based on the principle that each student receives what is required for them to achieve success with regard to allocation of resources opportunity treatment and access
  • Assist with hiring supervising and training classified personnel
  • Manage the day to day operations of a set of services within a department
  • Provide a continuous improvement and collaborative environment for staff
  • Develop and implement accounts payable and receivable policies and procedures in accordance with District goals and Board policies
  • Monitor expenditures at various levels with the account code structure
  • Gather assemble tabulate process analyze and file financial and statistical data keeping accurate records and processing documents involved in every financial transaction
  • Manage banking transactions including but not limited to deposits accounts receivable disbursements and transfers
  • Review accounts payable vouchers and approve check writing
  • Prepare financial information to assist in developing and analyzing financial statements
  • Provide support to school and department staff on running reports and explanation of financial data
  • Manage District student body funds providing training and support for school staff preparing for annual student body fund audit and maintaining student body fund accounting procedures
  • Manage school and district webstore functions with security and administrative system access
  • Provide backup support to other Business Office staff in relation to financial information gathering report construction and audit preparation
  • Manage the district Purchase Card program
  • Manage user security and workflow access within the financial software program
  • Manage the vendor maintenance and ACH setup function
  • Lead financial audit and compile Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
