QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required bachelors degree preferred;
- Supervisory experience preferred;
- Availability to work during before/afterschool hours and occasional evenings/weekends;
- Experience in a public school setting preferred;
- Experience with child care licensing standards preferred;
- Strong management organizational communication and interpersonal skills are required; and
- Proficient computer skills are required.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Probationary/Term Contract: 250 days
SALARY:
$47945 (BA1)
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee assigned campus programs including Club Rewind and other special programs.
- Train coach and direct program staff members to promote quality program implementation.
- Develop and conduct staff development.
- Evaluate program sites and provide recommendations based on program needs.
- Support the hiring of program staff members.
- Document and address concerns relating to employee performance.
- Support a student behavior management system that results in positive student behavior.
- Ensure that program expectations are uniformly observed and implemented.
- Provide quality customer service to all stakeholders including students parents staff and community members.
- Conduct conferences on student and program issues with parents students and staff as needed.
- Know understand and implement the minimum standards and guidelines for child care programs as provided by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services.
- Oversee summer camp and/or specialty camp operations as assigned.
- Support special programs and events as assigned.
- Provide input on the Community Programs policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
- Perform any and all other duties deemed necessary by the Assistant Director of Community Programs the Director of Community Programs and/or the Assistant Superintendent for Communication and Community Relations.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
