Northside Community Support ProgramARMHS Practitioner


People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a ARMHS Mental Health Practitioner to join our integrated wellness services team at our Northside Community support program. Northside Community support is a community support program offering wellness services to Hennepin County communities that are underserved. We are expanding the program into a wellness hub providing access and support for recovery. We provide access to various communitybased services such as recreational activities support for job seekers housing support therapy occupational therapy Art ARMHS services and community events.


Schedule: FullTime Monday Friday 8:00am4:30pm


Location: Northside Community Support: 1309 Girard Ave N Minneapolis MN 55411


Hiring Range: $22.00 $26.00 Hourly plus $1000 hiring bonus for external candidates

Main Job Duties:

  • Using and modeling personcentered principles actively engage clients in their mental health recovery and develop and maintain appropriate relationships that support the client in meeting their individual goals.
  • Demonstrate intermediate level of clinical knowledge and modeling as it relates to the individuals goals treatment plan and diagnosis.
  • Facilitate and conduct individual services that address a variety of needs and health concerns for the client. May facilitate and conduct group interventions if applicable.
  • Provide and model crisis intervention and deescalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional and/or behavioral responses while prioritizing client and program safety.
  • Facilitate and conduct individual services that address a variety of needs and health concerns for the client. Facilitate and conduct group interventions if applicable.
  • Document interactions and interventions with clients according to program requirements into the organizations Electronic Health Record (EHR) and/or recordkeeping system.
  • Coordination of services through the recognition of the multiple needs of the client with other providers in the community in an effort to provide necessary resources to the client.
  • Provide various skillbuilding teaching and/or coaching as it relates to the individual.

Requirements

Required Qualifications: Mental Health Practitioner I

  • Has a high school diploma and 2000 hours (one year) of experience in the delivery of services to people with: Mental illness emotional disturbance or substance use disorder and receives clinical supervision from a mental health professional once a week until 4000 hours of experience is met.

OR

  • Has a high school diploma and 4000 hours (two years) of experience in the delivery of services to people with
    • Mental illness;OR
    • Traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and completes training on mental illness mental health deescalation techniques cooccurring mental illness and substance abuse and psychotropic medications and side effec

OR

  • Bachelors degree in a behavioral science or related field and proof of a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields.

OR

  • Has completed 30 semester credits or 45 quarter credits in behavioral science or a related field and:
  • Has proof of a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields; OR
  • Has 2000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with Mental Illness DD ID or TBI
  • Is fluent in the nonEnglish language of the cultural group to which 50% of the practitioners clients belong;

Required Qualifications: Mental Health Practitioner II

  • Bachelors degree in a behavioral science/related field and proof of 4000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to people with mental illness;

OR

  • Masters Degree in behavioral science or related field

OR

  • In lieu of a bachelors degree in a behavioral science/related field proof of 10000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to people with mental illness.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Enrollment or has completed an accredited Masters program in a behavioral science or related field
  • Bachelors degree in a behavioral science or related field and proof of a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields
  • 2000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to people with mental illness
