Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Bookkeeper to join a dynamic business based in George Western Cape. The ideal candidate will be handson highly organised and experienced in managing fullfunction bookkeeping payroll and statutory compliance. Proficiency in QuickBooks and SEESA Payroll is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Bank & Cashbook Management
Capture all customer payments (EFT card COD) on QuickBooks
Capture supplier and general expenses
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
2. Supplier & Creditors
Capture bills against job cards
Manage open purchase orders
Handle supplier monthend payments
Perform creditors reconciliations on QuickBooks
3. Customer & Debtors
Send quotations and follow up on approvals
Issue invoices upon receipt of deposits
Prepare and send customer statements
Follow up on outstanding debtors
Capture customer payments and commission
4. Payroll & Employee Management
Process fortnightly and monthly payroll on SEESA Payroll
Capture payroll journals in QuickBooks
Manage leave applications and balances
Handle employee deductions and statutory submissions (EMP201 UIF SDL)
Submit MEIBC contributions via MIBFA
Process wages and salary payments
Register IODs on Compeasy
5. Employee Records & HR Admin
Onboard new employees and maintain employee files
File and update contracts salary adjustments and medical certificates
Maintain training and PPE registers
Ensure uptodate HSE documentation
6. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
Submit VAT201 returns
File Workmans Compensation and EMP501 submissions (BiAnnual & Annual)
