Assistant Buyer
Monday to Friday
9.00am 5.00pm
35 hours per week

Appleby Westward have very ambitious growth plans and we are looking for driven individuals to help us realise this ambition. As we continue to expand throughout our territory we now have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join ourTrading team. The successful candidate will work closely with a Trading Manager helping to secure new product lines and promotions and associated administration.
Ideal candidates should be selfsufficient analytical and open to feedback. An ideal role for a recent graduate in retail or business management or for applicants with other relevant experience.
The Role:
Assisting the Trading Manager in all aspects of chasing and preparing documentation to be processed;
Liaising with suppliers to confirm internal promotions and seasonal ranges;
Updating and maintaining current databases allowing other members of the trading team to have accurate information;
Claiming retros and invoicing at the end of promotions sending volumes and calculations;
Supporting the Trading Manager to prepare for exit planning clearance programmes and discontinued lines.
Applicants should have:
The ability to work to tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment;
Strong attention to detail;
Excellent problem solving skills and confidence to make quick thinking decisions;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages;
Experience of working in a Retail environment would be beneficial but not essential.
