What Youll Do
Product & Technology Software Engineering & IT develops and maintains Telstras software and IT systems working on some really cuttingedge technologies.
- Develop and maintain Android Mobile applications using Kotlin ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product managers designers and backend developers to deliver featurerich applications.
- Translate design mockups and wireframes into functional components.
- Write clean reusable and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers to promote knowledge sharing and code quality.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in frontend development.
- Participate in architectural discussions and help make informed decisions about technology stack and tools.
- Perform UI automation using industry standard tools
- Perform DevOps role with scheduled production support and making sure the application is available all the time.
About You
- 10 years of Native Mobile Development and testing experience
- Experience in working with Android SDK & ADT environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience in developing mobile applications in Kotlin.
- Experience utilizing standard Android APIs
- Knowledge in Jetpack Compose
- Thorough knowledge of Objectoriented programming principles.
- Very good optimization and debugging skills
- Component Management
- UX Design
- Good knowledge in Android unit testing frameworks like Junit and Robolectric and mock frameworks.
- Experience in Automate Testing frameworks TestDriven Development (TDD) Business Driven Development (BDD) and maestro/Espresso/Kaspresso or similar tools knowledge to write automation test suites.
