Job Description
- We are looking for an enthusiastic Systems Engineer to partner alongside our Solution Architects with day-to-day Linux operations and join our dynamic and growing global Scientific Linux team.
- Good working knowledge of Linux systems (3-4 years)
- Understanding of Configuration Management tools and methodologies
- Experience with CLI
- Familiarity with scripting (Shell Python Perl or other programming languages)
- Flexibility to collaborate with teams in multiple time zones (when needed)
- Excited to learn new technologies and curious by nature
- Enthusiastic about developing partnerships with world class scientists and professionals
- Able to be onsite in SSF for work several days a week
- Bachelors Degree with 4 years experience; Masters Degree with 2 years experience or equivalent
- Docker experience or other container experience
- Experience managing Linux-based high-performance computing
- Prior work in Healthcare Pharma or Biopharma
- Knowledge of data classification
- Cloud computing experience (AWS GCP Azure etc.)
- Ability to work with systems automation using DevOps tools (Jenkins Ansible Puppet)
- Operational experience using version control tools (Git CVS SVN)
- Linux systems (3-4 years)
- Bachelors Degree with 4 years experience; Masters Degree with 2 years experience or equivalent
