The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Development Coordinator to join our Hawaii Division based in Honolulu.
As an integral member of the team the Development Coordinator advances the American Heart Associations lifesaving mission through the planning coordination and implementation of fundraising campaigns. Through detailed data management administrative and logistics coordination organization and planning timeline management and facilitating effective communication across team members help us create outstanding experiences and make an extraordinary impact on the health and wellbeing of our communities.

Responsibilities
- Provides a wide variety of skilled logistical administrative clerical and data management support to the Hawaii Division ensuring all programs and office functions run efficiently. Ensures a high quality of service is provided to all staff volunteers and other external and internal customers
- Procures necessary resources and may solicit inkind donations.
- Recruits manages and engages with event volunteers.
- Processes invoices for payment conducts research organizes and orders event supplies maintains inventory tracker and assists with event setup and teardown for core campaign events in addition to internal staff activities and noncore events throughout the fiscal year.
- Manages customer and campaign information utilizing American Heart Association systems accurately timely and completely in accordance with established guidelines.
- Collaborates across departments to create correspondence event collateral and impactfocused graphic materials with precise attention to detail.
- Responsible for accurate timely processing of donations in accordance with established requirements and standards including weekly mail processing.
- Proactively ensures timely communication with internal and external partners and customers supporting collaboration in account management and activities to achieve shared goals.
- Will be responsible for comanaging new interns with the Senior Development Coordinator and involved with facilitating training and mentoring.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years prior relevant work experience that includes:
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet specified timelines.
- Administrative expertise with complex clerical responsibilities and data management.
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships internally and externally.
- Ability to organize plan and execute corporate events both inperson and digital experiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Canva.
- Ability to do daily local travel up to 20%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis.

- Demonstrated ability to recruit train and manage volunteers with success in delegating and accomplishing goals through empowering volunteers.
- Knowledge of corporate and community networks.
- Knowledge of American Heart Associations mission and programs.
Compensation & Benefits
Expected pay range will be $22.40 per hour to $25.75 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
