Department: FinancePosition: Payroll AnalystFLSA Status: Salaried ExemptReports To: Payroll ManagerPosition SummaryThe Payroll Analyst works with the Payroll Manager to process the payroll functions of the organization and assists in ensuring pay is processed on time accurately and in compliance with government FunctionsEnsure the timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employee types including salaried hourly and school yearbased salary calculations and reconciliations for year round school year and partyear staff to ensure accurate pay distribution over contract as the primary point of contact for payrollrelated inquiries including timesheet issues paperwork assistance and resolution of maintain and reconcile accurate payroll records and reports in compliance with internal policies and government with audits and prepare required documentation for state retirement systems workers compensation and unemployment and import monthly allocations and deductions for MSRB MTRS 457(b) OBRA HSA and other retirement enrollment in MTRS answer basic employee questions about the retirement process and ensure timely enrollment in the appropriate retirement complete and return any requests for retirement information from MTRS MSRB and OBRA in a timely and approve Personnel Action Requests (PARs) and update employee profiles in ADP/ and respond to the payroll inbox; address questions and requests in a timely and professional staff on the use of ADP/Paycom timecard and payroll with Human Resources to process new hires terminations and employment status or benefit payrollrelated documentation and filing systems both electronically and physically as benefit calculation reconciliations to maintain payroll ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with CES supervisors Human Resources and employees along with State and Federal Agency staff on payroll topics in a professional and timely any and all additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Finance or the Executive QualificationsAt least three to five years of payroll or related experience required current knowledge of payroll procedures practices and tax of payroll functions including preparation balancing internal control and payroll organizational skills and attention to working with external payroll analytical and problemsolving skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareProficient with payroll software Infinite Visions ADP Paycom have strong mathematical and analytical excellent communication problem solving and time management skills and be detail QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting Business Administration Human Resources or related field or 3 years minimum experience in Payroll processingPossess working knowledge of benefits and their used Infinite Visions and/or ADP and/or Paycom to process DemandsAble to lift and/or move packages up to 25 ability to move about the office to access file cabinets office equipment including the constant operation of a computer and other technology communicate by phone face to face email and video conference with ConditionsRequires working a flexible schedule during peak times of the in working both independently and to work productively with frequent interruptions and to work remotely if to work in an open space with work location minimum three days in the office each week Terms of EmploymentSchedule: Fulltime 12month position (40 hours per week additional as necessary).
