Job Summary

RPO Recruitments client is looking for a Fashion Designer to join their team in Cape Town. The role involves creating clothing concepts that align with seasonal trends and the brands identity while working closely with other departments to ensure design feasibility and consistency.

Responsibilities:

Design clothing collections in line with seasonal trends and brand guidelines
Prepare mood boards fabric selections and color palettes
Collaborate with production and marketing teams for aligned execution
Create technical drawings and specifications for garment sampling
Conduct research on fashion trends materials and consumer preferences
Oversee fittings and garment adjustments to ensure quality and fit
Maintain knowledge of industry developments and competitor activity
Ensure alignment of design output with brand and business objectives

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design or related field
Experience in a fashion design role within a retail or studio setting
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Solid understanding of garment construction and textiles
Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design capabilities
