Job Description

Bridlewood Animal Hospital in Kanata is hiring! We are a welcoming neighbourhood clinic who have cared for the Bridlewood area of Kanata for 30 years. Here at Bridlewood we strive to develop lifelong connections and aim to deliver a high standard of care for all our patients. We currently have 2 wonderful veterinarians 4 technicians and 3 assistants/CSRs as part of the phenomenal opportunity is perfectly suited for a Practice Manager who enjoys being part of a fun hardworking team. The Practice Manager will provide onsite leadership and oversight of the veterinary healthcare team to ensure that high quality care is provided to our patients and their youre searching for an inclusive environment and want to make an impact in a petloving community we want to hear from you!
The successful candidate will have experience managing a progressive forwardthinking team of Veterinary professionals! You will be scheduled for an average of 40 hours per week over 5 you want to practice innovative collaborative medicine with an established team of people who value teamwork and open communication you cant afford to miss this!

This is a contract position covering a maternity leave. If youre looking to grow and enhance your leadership skills while working with a fantastic team this opportunity is for you!

Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Provide onsite leadership and oversight of the veterinary health care team in order to maximize overall business performance of the hospital
    • Ensure smooth communication throughout a clients visit. Work alongside the Medical Director to resolve client concerns
    • Implement team scripting inHospital marketing and social media content to help capture new clients bond current clients increase referrals and generate community goodwill
    • Ensure team has sufficient and appropriate resources to deliver exceptional patient care.
    • Understand and help manage the financial drivers of the hospital
    • Ensure Cost of Sales as a percent of revenue is in line with budget. Maintain reasonable levels of inventory and put plans of action in place to eliminate bulk ordering and expired goods
    • Work with Regional Manager and Medical Director to review a specific operating budget and hospital business plan
    • Prepare financial bookkeeping and accounting reports
    • Keep financial records and establish maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
    • Monitor and discuss the Key Performance Indicators for hospital and team member performance with Regional Manager and Medical Director and implement an action plan where necessary
    • Ensures the hospital team is able to succeed in their duties by providing coaching development training mentorship and education as required
