THE OPPORTUNITY
Canberra International Golf Centre is seeking a strategic handson Venue Manager to lead daytoday operations and help shape the future of this iconic venue. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a multivenue environment inspire a dynamic team and play a key role in the future of this great business.
The Role:
As a key leader at Canberra International Golf Centre you will:
- Drive exceptional guest and team experiences across all venue touchpoints.
- Lead daily operations staff management budgeting and service delivery.
- Deliver the vision while preparing for future refurbishment and transformation.
- Oversee compliance with venue development approvals liquor licensing and safety legislation.
- Collaborate with key internal departments (HR Marketing Hospitality Finance IT).
- Engage with the local community and promote repeat visitation.
- Enhance revenue through innovative operations technology and product improvement.
- Ensure operational excellence safety and team empowerment.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the broader business.
About You:
- Proven leadership experience in multifaceted venue or hospitality operations.
- Strong golf and retail knowledge; PGA certification or club fitting expertise a plus.
- Financial acumen in budgeting forecasting inventory and labour management.
- Techsavvy with a passion for guest experience and innovation.
- Strong understanding of compliance risk and operational safety standards.
- Excellent communication stakeholder engagement and teambuilding skills.
