We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Contract Manager to lead our operations in Port Moresby Papua New Guinea. As the Contract Manager you will be responsible for driving the overall strategy growth and profitability of our business in PNG while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with local regulations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and expand market presence in Papua New Guinea
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including government officials business partners and clients
- Lead and mentor a highperforming team fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Manage budgets financial performance and resource allocation to maximize profitability and efficiency
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth in the PNG market
- Ensure compliance with local laws regulations and company policies
- Represent the company at industry events conferences and business forums in PNG
- Collaborate with regional and global leadership teams to align country strategies with overall corporate objectives
- Ensure all operational and vessel personnel comply with Operational Financial Commercial SHEQ and HR Policies and Procedures at all times and that noncompliance are analyzed evaluated and corrective and preventative actions are taken.
- Promote monitor and evaluate safety performance and work in close cooperation with the SHEQ to ensure operational and vessel personnel understand comply and drive forward safety standards and safe working practices.
- Investigate and analyse causes of defects take timely corrective actions and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Effective implementation of SLIMS Management System and ensure compliance on all vessels.
- Effective management of all elements within the designated fleet to achieve maximum utilisation lowest operating costs and tight planning controls for all technical drydocking repair maintenance and crewing functions
Qualifications :
- Bachelor degree at a Maritime Academy or other marine related advanced or university level qualifications
- Relevant marine operating experience preferably seagoing experience as Chief Engineer or First Engineer or background in Naval Engineering
- Indepth understanding and experience of marine industry and terminal operations
- Onshore management experience
- 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience
- Proactive work approach and a commercial feel
- Willing to work on rotational basis 6 weeks on 6 weeks off
- Experience with working with multinational and multicultural crew and staff
- Energetic enthusiastic optimistic handson and the ability to manage stress
- Proven financial management and budgeting expertise
