The Accounts Receivable/Collections position is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the organization. This role also serves as an auditor ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payment by the organization.
New hires will receive thorough training are given clear expectations and regular feedback. While we feel it is important for continuing education throughout your career successful newhires are regularly performing independently at a high level within the first 6 months of employment.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Candidates must first and foremost be trainable and willing to learn.
Strong interpersonal communication (written and verbal) and followthrough skills.
Ability to effectively multitask while prioritizing actions are paramount to success within the company.
Ideal Candidate for this position will be detailoriented and able to efficiently and professionally perform the following
tasks on a daily basis:
Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and charges prior to approval and billing of the customer
invoices
Prepares and issues statement of accounts agings and other related documents such as invoices work orders
PODs etc.
Performs related clerical duties such as excel spreadsheet maintenance filing/storing scanning copying etc.
Reconciles customer statements and researches discrepancies including short payments overpayments and
disputes
Sets up and maintains customer profiles within operating systems
Performs cash application related to accounts receivable payments and revenue collection
Communicates with clients coworkers management sales and others regarding discrepancies or disputes on
customer related invoices
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient with Microsoft Suite applications: Excel Word Outlook and Internet Browsers.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of CargoWise One software
Knowledge of Transportation Industry
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Required to sit for long periods of time
Required to talk and hear for use of telephone
Close vision required for use of computer
Use of hands for repetitive typing required
