Job Summary
The Lead Teacher on Assignment will serve as an instructional leader supporting teachers and students in grades K8 with a primary focus on improving instructional practices in core academic subject areas. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in instructional practices to model and strengthen teaching and learning by building teacher capacity leading professional development and supporting datainformed instructional decisionmaking. The Lead Teacher on Assignment will function as a collaborative partner working closely with school administrators classroom teachers and the division instructional team to support academic growth and improved student outcomes.
There is an expectation of working two weeks in the summer for planning and data collection. The Lead Teacher will be compensated with a stipend for summer work and addtional responsibilites throughout the year.

Minimum Qualifications:
Five 5 years of teaching experience required with an administrative license preferred. Valid certification or state license. Experience in teacher leadership mentoring or coaching is preferred. Ability to provide honest constructive feedback. Expertise in core academic content. Strong understanding of effective instruction curriculum and assessment practices. Collaborative and creative mindset with necessary skills to engage in problemsolving. Such alternative experience as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time exhibit manual dexterity hear and understand speech at normal levels speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds to bend stoop and climb stairs walk and reach overhead.
