Key Responsibilities
Machining Operations
- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills and lathes for high-precision components
- Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and specifications to define machining processes
- Monitor and adjust machine settings for optimal accuracy and productivity
- Operate and program Hurco machines at the machine level
- Run MasterCAM for efficient programming and workflow execution
- Perform quality inspections using micrometers calipers and other measuring tools
- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment to ensure maximum uptime
Leadership & Team Management
- Act as a working lead - providing frontline machining support while supervising team activities
- Motivate coach and support machinists and operators on the shop floor
- Ensure adherence to production schedules safety protocols and quality standards
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to continuously improve processes
- Foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes continuous learning and operational excellence
Qualifications
- 3 5 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication
- Proficiency with 3-axis CNC mills and lathes; experience with 4- or 5-axis machining preferred
- Must be proficient in MasterCAM
- Experience operating and programming Hurco machines
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and work independently
