Job Description
GFL Environmentals skilled team in members can handle all industrial cleaning and maintenance tasks ranging from the routine to the complex. We have a full complement of waterjet GamaJet steam and pressurewash trucks to clean equipment buildings underground pipelines and storage tanks. Our experienced personnel have the right equipment to access confined spaces and work in hazardous environments in order to get the job done safely and efficiently. Please note: you must be able to work weekends and/or out of town.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for day to day monitoring or assigned project.
Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment and Industrial Services Shop.
Power washing and High Pressure Water blasting as required.
Line snaking Drain and Pipe Inspections as required.
Industrial cleaning of chemical nonhazardous and hazardous wastes.
Assist on Vacuum Trucks/plant operations as required.
Confined Space Entry/ Rescue as required for Industrial Services Projects.
Working in tight or cramped spaces.
Working while using Respirator or Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus.
Shoveling Jack Hammering Squeegee Sing and heavy lifting as required.
Operate Pickup truck utility trailer forklift excavator bobcat etc.
Operate Aerial boom lift/Scissor Lift as required.
Knowledge Skills & Competencies:
25 years experience in Industrial Cleaning and Maintenance strongly preferred.
Experience working in Industrial settings an asset.
Previous experience with Vacuum Trucks Industrial Powerwashing or Waterblasting or Liquid Waste Industry experience strongly preferred.
Previous experience with Confined Space Entry or Work at Heights greater than 3 meters
Experience working with Respirators and Supplied Air Systems as well as fall arrest respirator Tyvek suit etc. is required
Lift truck scissor lift or zoom boom ticket an asset.
Ability to work flexible hours/shifts days evenings nights & possibly weekends or holidays.
Class G license required.
AZ/DZ License is considered an asset.
Must be comfortable with driving and maneuvering a pickup truck and trailer unit.
Friendly and professional able to deal directly with customer contacts on site.
Ability to multitask take direction and work without supervision or within a team at times.
Working in areas that may be extreme hot or cold.
Working at heights greater than 3 meters.
Will be required to wear protective gear i.e.; fall arrest respirator tyvek suit etc.
