About the role
We are seeking an organised and proactive team member to support our outpatient services. In this role you will:
Coordinate patient appointments and clinic schedules managing booking changes cancellations and logistics such as transport and interpreter services especially for patients with special needs including veterans and rural residents.
Provide highquality front desk and reception services including answering calls confirming patient details liaising with healthcare teams and delivering excellent customer service in a busy clinical environment.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using electronic medical systems to input test results prepare correspondence and ensure proper filing and recordkeeping across multiple clinics and services.
Support medical staff and clinical trials by preparing and forwarding medical records managing mail and faxes coordinating medication approvals and ensuring timely data handling for research and reporting.
Assist with general administrative duties including managing supplies maintaining procedure manuals handling in/out trays and providing reception relief when needed contributing to the smooth operation of the department.
About you
To succeed in this role you will bring:
Proven experience in healthcare administration with a solid understanding of clinical workflows and patientfacing services in a hospital or medical setting.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks meet deadlines and manage competing demands in a busy environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal with the confidence to interact professionally with patients families and multidisciplinary teams.
Confidence using technology and software including Microsoft Office (Word Excel) electronic medical records and systems like Medicare HPOS.
A professional and selfmotivated approach with demonstrated public relations skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture
