We are seeking motivated and versatile individuals to join our team to work with key customers at their remote mines. This roles roster will align with our customers and may adjust based on which project you are currently focused on. As part of our onboarding process you will go through a robust training program where you will learn all aspects of system operation troubleshooting and application of autonomy to a mining environment. Once you complete this training program you will be wellpositioned to support our customers in optimizing system performance.
Autonomy is a sophisticated investment and the customers that use it are equally position gives management exposure to entrylevel positions as mining companies look to Caterpillar expertise to advise as best practices are implemented and new procedures are developed. With a global company like Caterpillar there are international opportunities available. MineStar Command is utilized on three different continents and has support facilities all over the world. Training and operational experience is enriched by global site visits and international collaboration.
Once you complete your training program your job duties may include (but are not limited to):
Implementing MineStar Command and maximize system performance.
Become a trusted advisor for the customer through close collaboration internally and externally.
Support and advise MineStar Command Office Supervisors Builders Controllers and Pit Technicians in all aspects of Minestar system performance including minimizing downtime.
Provide technical support to MineStar Command System onboard maintenance Supervisors and Technicians.
Support hardware and software installation and configuration through establishing Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
Measure benchmark and report on MineStar Command System performance and suggest opportunities for improvements.
Developing training and process material.
Training program is tailored to the individual which may include classroom training on the job training and mentoring.
What Skills you will have:
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of mining technology products and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Field Support: Knowledge of postsales support; ability to support maintenance of hardware products.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools and techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Top Candidates will also have:
Degree in Mining Engineering Mechanical Engineering mining or similar working background.
Knowledge of mining technology products and product applications including Fleet Management systems.
Additional Information:
This role is a customer sitebased or position at Kearl Oil Sands Project and/or Imperial OilHeadquarters located in Calgary Alberta.
Most MineStar Application Specialists work 14x14 day and night shift roster. The successful candidate would fly to the site at the start of their shift and then stay at customerprovided accommodation for the duration of their shift. After completing the shift the employee would fly back to their home location for their rostered days off. If working out of the Imperial Oil Headquarters the successful candidate would work the associated shift out of Calgary by commuting to Imperial Oil Headquarters daily. After completing their shift in Calgary they would begin rostered days off.
