Job Summary
The Enterprise Communications and Strategic Projects Coordinator at Maharishi International University (MIU) is a key member of the administration supporting the CEO the Office of Operational Excellence and the Leadership Team. In this crossfunctional role the Enterprise Communications and Strategic Projects Coordinator will facilitate communication and collaboration across multiple departments ensuring strategic initiatives are effectively executed.
This position plays a vital role in managing highimpact projects streamlining communications and driving continuous improvement efforts to enhance organizational efficiency. The Enterprise Communications and Strategic Projects Coordinator will support internal communication oversee the Employee Hub and coordinate leadership routines helping to foster transparency and engagement across the university.
Working closely with department leaders the Enterprise Communications and Strategic Projects Coordinator will assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements supporting change initiatives and ensuring alignment between operational activities and MIUs strategic goals. By providing structured project management support and helping to coordinate key initiatives this role will contribute to the universitys overall effectiveness and longterm success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. STRATEGIC PLANNING AND
- Collaborate with the CEO and VP of Operational Excellence to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence and organizational growth.
- Ensure alignment of departmental goals with the universitys strategic plan monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
- Assist in implementing leadership routines strategic planning sessions and crossfunctional collaboration forums.
2. PROJECT AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
- Lead and support key projects and initiatives as directed by the CEO ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards. Collaborate with the Operational Excellence team to analyze and improve processes across departments. Serve as a change champion promoting operational efficiencies and process enhancements. Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational improvements championing initiatives that enhance overall efficiency.
- Work closely with Operational Excellence and HR to ensure change management initiatives are reinforced through appropriate training and development programs.
- Develop and maintain structured project documentation to track timelines risks progress reports and KPIs.
3. COMMUNICATION AND COORDINATION
- Support communication between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Prepare comprehensive reports presentations and executive summaries to facilitate informed decisionmaking by the CEO.
- Design manage and optimize the internal Employee Hub (e.g. SharePoint) as a centralized resource for employees to access essential information policies procedures and tools. This includes collaborating with departments to curate and approve digital resources maintaining materials identifying and addressing policy gaps and organizing a comprehensive library of guidelines past communications and event archives to enhance accessibility efficiency and transparency across the University.
- Lead the coordination of monthly AllHands meetings ensuring clear communication engagement and seamless facilitation of employee questions to the appropriate responders.
- Analyze employee engagement trends and provide insights for leadership decisionmaking.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communication strategy that ensures clear consistent and timely information flow across departments and the University. This includes maintaining twoway communication channels for feedback providing employees with essential resources and acting as the primary contact for sharing news updates and events with the MIU community.
- Standardize and enhance internal communication by implementing consistent email signatures branding and templates to maintain branding and tone across the University.
4. TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT
- Mentor and guide crossfunctional teams fostering a collaborative and highperformance work environment.
- Promote professional development and continuous learning within the team aligning with MIUs commitment to educational excellence.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to support team development and address any staffing needs.
- Provide resources and guidance to teams on effective communication practices and the use of internal tools for selfsufficiency.
5. SUPPORT FOR DEPARTMENT LEADERS
- Provide support to leaders of the university as directed by the CEO and VP of Operational Excellence.
- Facilitate collaboration among department leaders to achieve shared goals without replacing their leadership roles.
- Provide direct support to the CEO and VP of Operational Excellence in executing strategic leadership priorities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in Business Administration Organizational Development or a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in a management role preferably within an academic or similarly complex environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in communications and communications management
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY
- Strong proficiency in MS Office 365 including Word Excel PowerPoint SharePoint and Teams
- Written communication skills notably for virtual communications
- Social Media management skills
- Proficiency in online collaboration tools like MS Teams Zoom MS Suite tools etc.
