Instructional Services

INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT COMPUTER LAB PROCTOR

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with a successful passing grade on the Para Pro exam or twoyear degree or 60 hours of college credit from an accredited college or university
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Prior work with children preferred
  • Knowledge of computers
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Reports To: Principal

Job Goal

To provide an organized smoothly functioning computer lab environment in which students can take full advantage of the computerassisted instructional program.

Performance Responsibilities

  • Greet students take and maintain attendance roster.
  • Record students daily progress using appropriate recording programs and measurements.
  • Update student records as required.
  • Monitor the functioning of the equipment.
  • Request and record service calls.
  • Run and file reports.
  • Distribute course reports and discuss student progress with the classroom teacher.
  • Update records in the system.
  • Attend training seminars to learn computer programs used in the labs and to stay abreast of updates pertaining to computer programs.
  • Develop and submit school and district computer lab reports as directed and needed in a timely manner.
  • Provide instruction for support and remediation to small groups of students.

Terms of Employment:

182 days per school year; salary and work year to be established by the Board.

Evaluation:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
