Business Banking Associate

DUCA is looking for a Business Banking Associate to join our growing team!

Job Purpose & Summary

The Business Banking Associate contributes to DUCAs Commercial Lending profitability and growth by assisting in the ongoing management of a diverse portfolio of midmarket business relationships. This position supports the Business Banking team in analysis credit application writeup portfolio management and business development activities on a daytoday basis. This role also supports the Business Banking team with Annual Reviews assessing Micro Loans fulfilling the credit requirements for online unsecured credit applications and liaising with credit underwriters and credit funding team.

Key Accountabilities & Duties

• Conduct credit reviews of existing Members and maintain annual reviews/renewals at or below targeted levels.
• Assist with assessment of micro loan applications (up to $50000 and unsecured loans and lines of credit including due diligence and research and make recommendations that adhere to DUCAs policies and risk guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to facilitate the ongoing management of credit facilities.
• Generate referrals for more complex needs to appropriate Business Banking or Commercial team members.
• Communicate with Business Lending clients on a daytoday basis responding to questions and inquiries regarding products services and advice.
• Assist with portfolio management duties and other daytoday duties.
• Facilitate applications through to funding by liaising with internal partners and Members.
• Adhere to compliance and audit guidelines in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Organize and maintain shared files.

Occupational Experience & Education Requirements

• Bachelors degree in business/finance/economics or related discipline is considered an asset.
• 24 years experience in financial services with prior experience interacting with small business (business banking) clients or business activities.
• Previous experience in credit writing.
• Previous experience and/or understanding of financial statement analysis.

Salary: The annual salary range for this position starts at$57857. Actual annual base salaries will vary depending on relevant jobrelated factors such as experience knowledge skills qualifications and education/training. Depending on the position DUCAs total compensation package may include incentive compensation tied to company and individual performance or other benefits.
