Job Description
Hours: fulltime 37.5 hours per week)
Location: burg VA 24501
Position Summary
The IT Support Specialists role is to ensure proper computer operations so that end users can accomplish organizational tasks. This includes receiving prioritizing documenting and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostics and help request tracking tools as well as require that the individual give handson help at the desktop level.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2 years of relevant experience required. Two years of business computer experience preferred.
Related Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Technical level knowledge of Windows operating system including XP 7 and 8/8.1 Windowsbased desktop and laptop computers Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software applications and equipment; Knowledge of customer service principles and practices; Demonstrates a proactive approach and a professional enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Willing and available to work modified schedules (weekends holiday etc. as required; Ability to drive and must possess a valid drivers license. May be required to travel to different Horizon work sites during the day based on operational needs or provide admin support at other locations. Regular attendance at trainings and Horizon meetings may require travel to a variety of Horizon sites.
