Job Description
Job Title: Financial Analyst 3 (IT)
Duration: 12 months
Location: Birmingham AL 35243 Hybrid
Position Summary:
Client is seeking a Financial Analyst 3 (IT) to support multiple large-scale technology project implementations. This role focuses on the financial evaluation of actual charges vs. budget while also providing project support through documentation reporting and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with advanced Excel skills and experience in IT project environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical support for ongoing technology initiatives.
- Validate project invoices expenditures and change requests that impact budgets.
- Monitor project accounting and prepare cost reports including forecasts and outlooks.
- Reconcile financial transactions by comparing and correcting data.
- Identify and implement process improvements for financial operations.
- Compare actual financial results with budgets and forecasts and provide actionable insights.
- Guide cost analysis processes by establishing and enforcing financial policies.
- Support presentations process documentation and other project administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve financial issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 10 years of financial analysis experience preferably in technology or project-based environments.
- Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables VLOOKUPs complex formulas data modeling)
- Corporate financial evaluation and forecasting
- Quality management and process improvement
- Strong problem-solving and statistical analysis capabilities
