Worker Category: Hybrid Worker up to 2 days a week in the office

Salary:per annum (prorata for parttime)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen as an Assertive Inreach worker within the Assertive Inreach Service
This post is Grade 8 is fulltime and is permanent.

About The Role

Assertive Inreach assist hospital patients with mental health difficulties to maintain their finances during an inpatient stay link to community resources and ensure they are ready for discharge. Assist in applying for benefits and resolve benefit or debt related problems connect with neighbourhood services education/work and volunteering to promote independence prior discharge.

You will be required to visit inpatients at the Bradgate Hospital and other wards linked with the hospital around the county.

Assertive Inreach work with individuals that are resident in City County and Rutland. The service is working within the 3Cs approach.

About You

To apply for this post you must:


An ability to positively motivate and identify strengths in individuals.
An ability to utilise community assets and neighbourhood services which may include access to employment voluntary opportunities recreational/social pursuits community activities and cultural or spiritual activities.
An ability to seek information and advice on benefits support individuals to apply and be in receipt of benefits.
An ability to manage a caseload and prioritise risk appropriately.
A confident communicator working closely with partner agencies forging strong working relationships to enable collaborative working.
An ability to identify potential safeguarding and risks alert as necessary to protect.
An ability to work effectively on your own as well as part of a team and to work under pressure and to remain calm in crisis

We also expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
