The Manitoba Mtis Federation(MMF) is the democratically elected National Government of the Red River Mtisalso known as the Manitoba Mtis. The Red River Mtis are a distinct IndigenousNation and People and Canadas Negotiating Partners in Confederation and theFounders of the Province of Manitoba.

The MMF seeks to fill one fulltimeCommunications Specialist position within our Red River Mtis BusinessDevelopment Corporation located at 333 Main Street in Winnipeg MB. Reporting to the Communications Manager theCommunications Specialist will support Red River Mtis business associationmembers with marketing efforts including social media management campaigncreation and design of digital and print materials. The CommunicationsSpecialist will also handle marketing requests conduct market researchdevelop strategies and create content to support successful campaigns for thebusiness association members as delegated by the Communications Manager.

Job Duties/Competencies:

Monitor and Coordinate activities on clientrelated marketing requests;

Develop plan and execute paid marketingstrategies and initiatives for clients including paid social media searchand display advertising campaigns;

Design visually compelling graphics for socialmedia web and print using brand aligned creative direction;

Monitor track evaluate and optimize campaignperformance;

Compile monthly analytics for clients withrecommendations for extending brand awareness;

Research and audit third party websites andsocial media channels to help decide on appropriate ad placements anddetermining which content will reach the public;

Research and recommend social media usage bestpractices and integration with marketing efforts.

Skills and Qualifications:

Degree in Marketing Creative Communicationsor related field with a minimum of one year of relevant experience;

Strong knowledge of Search Engine Marketing(SEM) Search Engine Optimization (SEO) keyword research and GoogleAnalytics. Google Ads and Advanced Google Analytics certification is consideredan asset;

Trained in developing marketing strategiesoptimizing content for various channels and managing developing and writingwebsite content;

Proficient with Office 365 file managementdata entry and general computer skills.

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Canvais considered and asset;

Strong organizational interpersonal and timemanagement skills;

Experience working for a notforprofitorganization and Indigenous community is an asset;

Knowledge of Red River Mtis culture and MMFprograms and services is a definite asset; and

Abilityto travel valid Manitoba Drivers license with access to a reliable vehicle.
