Job Description
This is a remote position.
Schedule:
- (20 hours per week) with opportunity to transition to full-time within one month based on performance
- Monday-Friday 10 am-2 pm pacific time
Scope:
- Managing overflow work for multiple client websites across various industries
- Direct reporting and collaboration with business owner and internal development team
- Consistent Monday-Friday schedule during agreed-upon hours (4 hours daily for part-time 8 hours for full-time)
- Long-term position with growth potential based on performance and business needs
- Working with established processes and existing client relationships
- Access to necessary tools software and technical support through the company
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain dynamic websites and web applications through WordPress
- Handle overflow work for website building maintenance and management when internal team is at capacity
- Perform WordPress design work specifically through Gutenberg editor
- Manage email setup and hosting configurations for client websites
- Execute website migrations between hosting platforms
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to turn visions into reality
- Ensure high performance and availability of all websites
- Manage technical aspects and establish website architecture
- Conduct quality source code review testing and debugging
- Collaborate with front-end developers and web designers to improve usability
- Stay updated with latest industry trends and WordPress developments
Requirements:
- Sample websites or portfolio (required)
- Proven experience as a WordPress developer with portfolio of completed projects
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with WordPress Gutenberg editor and other WordPress platforms
- SEO knowledge and experience optimizing websites for search engines
- Excellent English communication skills with clear speaking ability
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple website projects
- Experience with website hosting email management and site migrations
- Availability during consistent scheduled work hours with direct accessibility
