The Opportunity
We are seeking Yard Hands to join the maintenance crew at Pembroke Resources autonomous mine in the Bowen Basin the Olive Downs Complex.
Pembroke Resources Olive Downs Complex is located 40 kilometres SouthEast of Moranbah which commenced mining operations has been awarded a fiveyear contract to deliver fullservice mining operations including mine planning overburden removal drill and blast load and haul water management and rehabilitation as well as the construction of the mine infrastructure.
As a Yard Hand your key responsibilities will be:
- Forklift operation for loading and unloading trucks (freight).
- Escorting LV vehicles to and from the front gate.
- Performing general housekeeping duties such as brooming and shovelling.
- Manual handling tasks including stacking pallets and carrying boxes.
- Packing items away in the warehouse as needed.
- Maintain the Maintenance Tool Store (issue out / book in tooling etc)
About you
- Valid forklift license and experience in forklift operation.
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Ability to handle manual tasks and lift heavy items.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the mining or industrial sector.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures.
