About the role
Activs timber manufacturing business produces a range of timber products such as pallets bed bases crates and customised orders. The team in Bunbury is experiencing a busy period of growth due to ongoing work and new contracts. Due to this work and a recent internal promotion we have a position available for a general hand who is looking to use their skills while working with people living with disability in a supportive environment.
This position is permanent full time work willing to split the roster to part time for the right candidate. Monday to Friday 7:24am-3:30pm and will pay$24.10 to $24.98 per hour (approx. $47700 to $49500 equivalent) based on experience plus super and salary packaging options.
Duties include:
- Working alongside supported employees in completing all tasks
- Timber product manufacturing packaging and assembly tasks
- Setting up wood cutting and profiling machinery to make components
- Loading timber into machines and operating saw machines
- Maintaining a safe and tidy workplace
- Using a forklift to move timber products around the warehouse and making deliveries
What you need:
- Great attitude towards working with people living with disability
- Experience in or ability to work in a busy manufacturing environment
- Experience in or ability to ensure the safe operation of plant tools and equipment
- Someone who communicates well with their fellow team members
- Ideally hold a current forklift licence (TLILIC0003) or willingness to train
- Current full WA drivers licence Heavy Rigid license desirable
