About the Role:
Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real difference to our residents every day Aurum is on the hunt for enthusiastic Kitchen Hands to join our friendly aged care team. If you love working in a lively environment where laughter fills the air and teamwork is at the heart of all we do then this could be your perfect opportunity!
As a valued Kitchen Hand at Aurum you will:
- Deliver consistent high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers to the prescribe service standards.
- Prepare food and beverage products to the prescribed standard operating procedures/ duty statement.
- Complete cleaning tasks as prescribed by the standard operating procedures/ duty statement or as directed by the Chef on duty.
- Advise Chef on duty of any catering-related issues and needs where required.
- Complete any operational cleaning requirements as required or directed by the Chef on duty.
- Attend team meetings as required.
Roster:
The successful applicant for this position will be able to work a mix of morning and afternoon shiftsavailability to work weekends.
Skills and Experience:
- The ability to align to our Values
- The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a high-performing team
- A passion for delivering great service and a fantastic eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- A good understanding of HACCP/food safety programs
- Cert III in Cookery or Hospitality (Desirable but not essential)
- Capacity to lift up to 20kg
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
- Ability to pass a National Police Check
Previous experience working in customer service hospitality or within a commercial kitchen is highly desirable but not essential.
