The successful candidate must have at least 7 years of field construction/site work experience and a minimum of 5 years in a QA/QC of building projects. A Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) with technical contract oversite on building/facility construction projects and airport terminal experience is preferred.

DUTIES: The duties and responsibilities of the Resident Engineer include the following:
Onsite observing inspecting recording and reporting for the building construction components of the project. Attendance of project meetings as required. Site reports on daily basis. Heavily engaged in the onsite QA process (validation of onsite QC). Supervise and remain vigilant regarding all aspects of the construction activities. Respond with appropriate and necessary levels of construction supervision to provide quality assurance in accordance with contract documents. Review the contractors progress at all times. Monitor the material incorporated in the work the materials stored at the site and the contractors manpower and equipment. Coordination with contractors supervisory personnel regarding schedule sequence and method of work as the owners representative if required. Record Punchout and Prefinal inspection participate in Final inspections submit lists of deficiencies to the CM/RE for each inspection and log correction of all deficiencies prior to final inspection. Aide the CM/RE in all applicable special inspections and observations required by the contract are performed and help to coordinate all factory and onsite testing testing lab personnel and any other inspections and testing personnel required by the contract. Other duties as assigned.
