Position Description:
We are looking for a Natural Gas Designer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Columbus office. Candidates must have a high school diploma and zero or more years of drafting experience in the natural gas industry. Excellent technical writing organization and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be selfmotivated and able to work well with others. Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations and familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is required. Periodic travel may be required. A flexible hybridremote work schedule may be available after 30 days of employment.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline designs asbuilts and mechanical detail drawings
- Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD
- Generate bill of materials
- Ability to work independently
- Print working drawings using a plotter
- Create estimated time requirements for projects
- Attend projectspecific meetings to determine CAD schedules
- Save projectspecific data on a daily and weekly basis
- Complete 811 design requests and coordinate responses to obtain 3rd party infrastructure
- Verify and organize field visit survey notes
- Assist Project Managers as needed
- Attend meetings as needed
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
- High school diploma required
Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations and familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is required.
- Periodic travel may be required
