Production Scheduling Specialist
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Production Scheduling Specialist to join our Rendering team in the Corporate Office. The Production Scheduler will coordinate logistics both truck and rail to move rendered materials from our plants to customers across the country
Responsibilities:
- Arrange and book OTR transportation for Rendering plants with tanker and hopperequipment
- Create and coordinate Rendering Order entry for serviceteam
- Create and coordinate load schedules with Renderingplants
- Accurate and timely entering of Rendering dailyinventories
- Forward Schedules Entry
- Rendering Customer Service (Invoice issues POs)
- Rendering Reporting
- Develop working product knowledge in order to assistcustomers
- Monitor Rendering Trackingspreadsheets
- Freight Bill Tracking/Reporting for Rendering
- Team Coordinated Reporting
- Ensure proper credit release is coordinated for plant release ofshipments
- Transportation and data entry claim submission
- Other duties asassigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration AG Business Supply Chain or related field preferred
- Strong organizational skills and acute attention to details
- Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills
- Experience in booking hopper and tankertrucks strongly preferred
- Experience within the scheduling/transportation/logistics industrystrongly preferred
- Intermediate skills in Excelrequired
- Ability to work independently and know when to askquestions
- Strong time management skillsrequired
- Experience in SAP Red Prairie Order Management Quintic and/orBlueJaypreferred
- Weekend availability required (approx. one Saturday per month)
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonableaccommodation
- As a salaried position with the companyyou may be required totravel at some pointto other facilities to attend Company events or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision Medical and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
