About the Role
As the Revenue Recognition Professional you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate accounting close process for the revenue cycle. Your expertise will be vital in developing robust internal controls and ensuring compliance with SarbanesOxley requirements for revenue accounting. You will review analyze and interpret contracts to provide strategic revenue accounting advice and youll also be responsible for creating necessary accounting memos. Additionally youll optimize data and tools within the OrdertoRevenue cycle driving process efficiency and enhancing revenue accuracy.
What You Will Do
Responsible for the daytoday activities for technical and operational revenue recognition process for specific Business unit.
Provide Technical Revenue Accounting guidance to the organization.
Assist sales operations team in structuring unique transactions and sales programs while satisfying GAAP requirements for revenue recognition.
Provide input that will help drive process efficiencies for the order to cash process.
Ensure compliance within the SOX 404 framework.
Help coordinate quarterly and annual audit requirements.
Responsible for testing and support for the DX transformation project.
What Skills & Experience You Should Have
Experience in the application of ASC 606 with 35 years of experience in detailed review of revenue transactions and general accounting experience
BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
US public company experience preferred
Advanced skills in Excel/spreadsheets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment
Experience with ASC 34040 ASC 805 preferred
Salesforce Oracle 11i Revpro BI experience a plus
