The City of Saint Paul Public Works Street Maintenance Division is hiring individuals to perform manual labor in the construction maintenance and repair of streets highways alleys sidewalks and City rightofway.

Requirements may be met by one of the following:
Possess and maintain a Class B or ClassACommercial Drivers License (CDL) including a tank vehicle endorsement with no restrictions for airbrakes.
OR
Possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D or equivalent out of state Drivers License AND
Related paid work experience OR
Currently enrolled in a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) trainingprogram
Additional Information:
Licenses must have no suspensions or revocations for drivingrelated offenses during the twoyear period prior to the date of appointment. Suspensions for parkingrelated offenses are excluded.
Employment in this job classification shall not exceed 2080 regular work hourswithoutobtaininga Commercial Drivers License. Failureto obtain a Class B or Class A CDL will result in termination of employment. Extensions due to extenuating circumstances may be considered.
Candidates with a Class D drivers license will be assigned tothenonCDL step ofthe salary schedule.The first pay period afterobtaininga Commercial Drivers license employees will advance totheCDL Holder Start Step ofthe salary schedule.
