Description

In an environment of continuous quality improvement the Project Manager Construction and Facilities is responsible for establishing and implementing strategies and tactics that will develop and continually enhance the business and market leadership of MHS. This position will take a lead role in developing and implementing a standard format for business development activity and facilitate the process across the health system. The Project Manager Construction and Facilities will lead business development processes to maximize the use of our resources to impact efficiencies in MHS facilities and construction projects. This position will be accountable for executing construction strategies to ensure market share development. The Project Manager Construction and Facilities develops and directs projects in conjunction with departmental directors supervisors physicians hospitals ambulatory sites other entities and outside management companies/consultants that target growth through volume revenue and core market share to ensure project . This position must exhibit the MHS Standards of Excellence and always exercise strict confidentiality.

Job Functions:

  1. Coordinates projects with other departments and directly with the facilities director.
  2. Is responsible for all construction projects internal and external including design oversight and budgeting project management and coordination project cost and completion timelines.
  3. Proficient in software that allows project timelines completion planning and oversight.
  4. Coordination with all related partners such as architects and engineers.
  5. Is responsible for managing and overseeing all contracted construction and project partners.
  6. Liaison with local state and county officials on all projects.
  7. Review contracts and agreements related to projects with conjunction with corporate compliance.
  8. Review and manages all leases and leased spaces with conjunction with corporate compliance.
  9. Special projects events and data requests for grants financing and project support.
  10. Remain current in construction code and guidelines.
  11. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelors degree in industrial technology or construction management.
  • 10 years of field experience in health care construction or related industries.
  • Project Management experience and certification required.
  • Management or leadership experience required.
  • Valid Drivers License required.

Special Knowledge Skills Training:

  • Interpret standards requirements and regulations of accrediting and regulatory agencies and national state and local electrical building and plumbing codes to department staff.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions and to find solutions for or to deal proactively with workrelated problems.

Compensation Details: Education experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
