Job Description

Academic Coach Grades 46 or 712

Status: FullTime Exempt

Starting: August 11 2025


Position Overview: Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Academic Coach to support students. The Academic Coach will be assigned to one of the following divisions: grades 46 or 712 and responsible for providing academic guidance support and enrichment to students while aligning instruction with the values and teachings of the Christian faith. This role requires a love for teaching flexibility patience and a desire to foster spiritual growth in students.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with students parents and teaching team to develop and keep current individualized academic plans to support students learning needs
  • Provide oneonone and small group instruction to reinforce classroom lessons
  • Work closely with the classroom/general education teacher throughout all stages of the educational process from collaboratively planning and designing lessons to implementing differentiated instruction and assessments ensuring that each students individual needs are met and progress is consistently monitored
  • Encourage spiritual development by integrating Christian values and teachings into the daily routine
  • Collaborate with the schools leadership and teaching staff to create a nurturing and academically focused environment
  • Maintain proactive communication with parents and teachers regarding student progress and areas for growth
  • Provide academic coaching to students to help them identify and address their personal learning needs to increase academic achievement and bolster skilldevelopment such as learning and studying techniques executive functioning skills and testtaking strategies
  • Provide mentorship services and programming that increase motivation build resiliency and foster a positive school climate for all students
  • Participate in professional growth opportunities through staff development inservice workshops and other means
  • Other duties as assigned by the administrative staff

Qualifications:

  • A current Ohio Intervention Specialist licensemild/moderate (K12 with experience in grades 412 (preferred)

OR

  • A current Ohio Teaching License with demonstrated experience in collaborating effectively with intervention services will also be considered
  • Experience as a classroom teacher or intervention specialist in elementary grades including collaborative team teaching
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A deep understanding of child development and best practices in education with a strong emphasis on neurodiverse conditions such as ADHD and dyslexia
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment
  • A heart for mentoring students and supporting their spiritual growth with an ability to integrate Christian principles into everyday situations
  • A flexible thinker and problemsolver
  • Familiarity with educational tools technology and resources for grades 412
  • Exemplify a growthmindset with a desire to learn
