Description

We are seeking a detailoriented parttime 25/30 hours a week). Accountant Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team in the accounting department. As an Accountant Assistant/Bookkeeper you will play a vital role in supporting our accounting department and ensuring accurate financial records. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers and wants to grow their career in the accounting field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daytoday accounting tasks including recording financial transactions maintaining general ledgers and preparing financial reports
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank statements and investigate any discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of invoices receipts and financial documents
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department such as filing data entry and correspondence management
  • Assists Accounting manager and CEO with special projects as necessary
  • Perform receptionist duties when needed

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proven experience as an Accountant Assistant or Bookkeeper
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheets
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill
