Role Overview

Our Medication Tech provides activities of daily living and other services to residents in accordance with their service plan. Responsibilities

• Assist resident with all personal care skills (bathing dressing grooming toileting) and services in accordance with the Individual Resident Service Plan using safe courteous and effective standards of practice.
• Make appropriate observations about the residents condition during interaction with the resident and record changes in a timely manner. Report any changes to the H&W Director Nurse or designated charge person immediately.
• Records omission of resident services/medications according to company policy/procedures and standards.
• Assists in recording temperature blood pressure pulse and respiration rates and food and fluid intake and output as directed.
• Aid in the delivery of specific participation in programs such as fall prevention safety and socialization to all residents.
• Participate in family conferences as needed to discuss the residents status and review the appropriate service plan and medication regimen.

Qualifications

• Can do attitude and willingness to go above and beyond when needed to serve our residents
• Ability to work as a team and also independently
• Previous
• A love for seniors
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and caregiver experience desired.
• Preferred to have a valid unrestricted certification in the state (CNA desired) and maintain CEUs as required by the State.
• CPR and First Aid certification or successfully achieved within 30 days of employment if required by state standards.
