About the role:
As a Director or Associate Director in Strategic Partnerships youll be a key player in planning how we secure the resources needed to achieve our goals. Youll be the goto person for building strong lasting relationships with organizations that want to support our work. This role involves creating smart fundraising plans and making sure we have the funds to make a real impact. You need to be great at connecting with people and have a history of successfully securing funding from companies foundations trusts and other supporters.
What youll be doing:
Planning and Strategy:
- Lead the creation of our yearly fundraising plan developing both shortterm and longterm strategies that fit with our overall mission and targets.
- Stay ahead of the curve by understanding current and future trends in our field positioning our organization as a trusted partner.
- Develop compelling presentations and proposals that clearly explain what we do and how it aligns with potential donors interests.
Fundraising:
- Take ownership of our overall fundraising plan. Design a system to track our progress weekly monthly and quarterly to ensure we meet our targets. Be ready with backup plans to achieve our annual goals.
- Create sustainable and scalable ways to generate income considering all our costs (operations partners project management).
- Use your existing network and build new connections to increase our visibility among companies trusts foundations and government agencies. Find and develop new donors and maximize fundraising opportunities.
Connecting with Clients and Building Relationships:
- Work closely with our CEO core team corporate social responsibility (CSR) clients and other potential donors to build longterm strategic partnerships and ensure ongoing funding.
- Collaborate with external partners (clients donors government bodies) to explore current and upcoming opportunities.
- Write clear and impactful proposals and concept notes that showcase our solutions and explain how we can work together with donors to create and implement successful sustainable programs.
Developing Campaigns and Outreach:
- Create and participate in industry events donor programs annual giving initiatives and campaigns to keep potential donors engaged and secure longterm funding.
- Support our communications team in developing outreach materials like proposals brochures updated data standard presentations newsletters and guides to effectively communicate our work to external stakeholders.
Leading and Developing the Team:
- Provide strong leadership to the partnerships team.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork innovation and high performance.
- Help develop and mentor future leaders within the organization.
What youll need to bring:
- Significant experience in raising funds 10 years is a must) building partnerships and business development.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients donors foundations and other key external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills to understand potential markets and design effective revenue models that align with our organizational goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with both internal and external teams.
- High level of accuracy in managing fundraising data and business reports.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced entrepreneurial environment.
- A proven track record of successfully managing fundraising efforts with full ownership of financial outcomes (Profit & Loss).
