The Barback is responsible for assisting Bartenders to provide efficient service to Center guests.

Located in downtown Tampa the Straz offers flexible hours eventbased schedules including evenings and weekends and a teambased work environment. Straz benefits for parttime staff include employee discounts and a 403(b) plan.

Essential Functions:

• Assists the Bartenders with providing excellent service to Center guests.
  • Ensures the Bartenders are adequately stocked with necessary supplies at the bars. Acts proactively to keep the bar stocked.
  • Ensures that all glasses bowls and other bar equipment are clean and stowed.
  • Maintains cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counter sinks utensils shelves and storage areas.
  • Assists with restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies.
• Presents a neat and professional appearance in correspondence with the uniform code.
• Reports any maintenance issues to the Manager on Duty.
• Able to be on feet for a minimum of 5 hours a shift.
• Ability to work in face paced environment.

Education and Work Experience:

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum of oneyear experience as a busser bar back or server assistant.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Availability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to determine bartenders needs in advance.
• Basic knowledge of bar set up and vernacular.
